  • Telehealth can be a valuable option for veterans living in rural areas with limited access to in-person VA care.9

  • While data on the efficacy of telehealth are mostly limited to surveillance and oral therapy, a recent small study of veterans with aggressive lymphoma showed no significant differences in care between patients receiving infusional chemoimmunotherapy administered by an in-person VA oncologist or under the direction of a remote teleoncologist through the VA's National TeleOncology program (NTO).10
