MILAN – Dr. Andrew W. Roberts discusses the high response rates that have occurred with the Bcl-2 inhibitor ABT-199, alone and in combination, against refractory or relapsed chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
Drug-induced tumor lysis syndrome in some patients appears to have been avoided with a new modified dosing regimen, said Dr. Roberts, who presented phase Ib study results of ABT-199 in combination with rituximab at the annual congress of the European Hematology Association.
