Watch For Depression, Anxiety in Erectile Dysfunction Patients
Key clinical point: Depression was significantly more common among men with erectile dysfunction, compared with those without erectile dysfunction.
Major finding: About 80% of men with erectile dysfunction reported either anxiety or depression based on questionnaires, compared with about 14% of men without erectile dysfunction. Prevalence and severity of anxiety and depression increased as the severity of ED increased.
Study details: The data come from a cross-sectional study of 958 adult men (768 with ED, 190 without ED).
