Nitroglycerin’s safety and value examined


 

Take-home messages

  • Short acting nitroglycerin may not be a contraindication for phosphodiesterase inhibitor use.
  • More data are still needed.
  • Nitroglycerin response does not help distinguish chest pain from CAD from noncardiac causes.
