Patients with cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE) experienced improved symptoms with iberdomide, a cereblon modulator, added to standard lupus medications, particularly in subacute and chronic cases.

TEAEs leading to iberdomide discontinuation in one or more patients were neutropenia (n = 7), rash (n = 7), increased hepatic enzymes (n = 4), and deep vein thrombosis (n = 3).

“Data from this phase 2 trial of iberdomide in patients with SLE suggest that a greater proportion of patients with subacute or chronic CLE who received the higher dose of 0.45 mg iberdomide achieved CLASI-50 vs placebo.
