Fast Facts for Board Review

Chemotherapeutic Agents and Dermatologic Side Effects

Author and Disclosure Information

As part of our commitment to resident education, Cutis is excited to offer this monthly section with board-relevant, easy-to-review material. It is a resource for review while on the go, for group study, or for last-minute preparation. This section is not meant to be comprehensive but rather a supplement to other study materials.

This month’s fact sheet covers dermatologic complications of commonly used chemotherapy medications. Chemotherapy side effects common to most agents were not included, such as alopecia and nonspecific rash.
