Assessment and Management of Acute Hemoptysis

Expectoration of blood presents across a spectrum ranging from minor to life-threatening, and its etiologies are numerous. Herein, the authors review essential considerations in the workup and treatment of massive hemoptysis. Management of nonmassive hemoptysis is also discussed.
