Managing Angelman Syndrome


 

Angelman syndrome is a rare neurogenetic disorder characterized by movement problems and multiple types of seizures. There is no cure for this condition, but it can be managed with medications and sometimes with dietary therapy.

At the Angelman Syndrome Foundation Scientific Symposium in Rockville, Md., Dr. Ron Thibert of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston discussed the presentation and management of these patients.
