Nonsurgical Treatment of Basal Cell Carcinoma: Report From the Mount Sinai Winter Symposium

At the 19th Annual Mount Sinai Winter Symposium, Dr. James Spencer reviewed nonsurgical treatment of basal cell carcinoma in patients who are looking for alternative therapies. He discusses topical therapies such as imiquimod, 5-fluorouracil, and ingenol mebutate, as well as injectables such as interferon alfa-2b. He also describes the sonic hedgehog pathway inhibitors vismodegib and sonidegib and their results.
