CPN welcomes Andrea Murru, MD, PhD, to CPN board


 

Clinical Psychiatry News is pleased to announce that Andrea Murru, MD, PhD, has joined the Editorial Advisory Board.

Dr. Andrea Murru

Dr. Murru is senior clinician in the bipolar disorder and sleep disorder units of the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona in Spain, and is a postdoctoral researcher of the Spanish Network of Research in Mental Health, which is led by Eduard Vieta, MD, PhD.

In addition, Dr. Murru is author of several scientific books and chapters and more than 70 peer-reviewed articles on the treatment of bipolar disorder. His research focuses on using, long-term treatments, and implementing clinical guidelines in daily practice. He also researches tolerability in patients with bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, and sleep-related disorders and biomarkers.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Cagliari (Italy).
