Author and Disclosure Information

Brought to you by the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons. The authors of this video discuss the trends and feasibility of successful transvaginal salpingo-oophorectomy at the time of vaginal hysterectomy, emphasizing that adequate lighting and exposure are key. They review 5 surgical techniques including a round ligament technique with or without isolated transection of the ligament, and the use of a pre-tied surgical suture loop, a surgical stapler, and a bipolar vessel-sealing device.
