Beyond the headlines: A closer look at the USPSTF draft recs on aspirin

The US Preventive Services Task Force recently made big news with its draft update that recommends against the initiation of low-dose aspirin for primary prevention of cardiovascular disease in patients ≥ 60 years. But there are other aspects of the draft that family physicians need to know about. This month, Dr. Campos-Outcalt provides a closer look at the draft recommendations and discusses which patients should initiate—or continue taking—daily low-dose aspirin.
