Prior head injury is associated with severe Parkinson’s disease phenotype
Key clinical point: Head injury before onset of Parkinson’s disease is associated with more severe motor and nonmotor phenotypes.
Major finding: In one cohort, the mean MDS-UPDRS-I score was 7.73 in patients with prior head injury and 6.19 in patients without injury.
Study details: An online survey of two cohorts of patients with Parkinson’s disease.
