Low vitamin D levels in patients with migraine
Key clinical point: Serum levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) are lower in patients with migraine than healthy individuals.
Major finding: Serum levels of 25(OH)D were significantly lower in patients with migraine than control individuals (random effects model: mean difference, −4.05; 95% confidence interval, −6.34 to −1.76).
Study details: Meta-analysis of 8 studies including 8,965 participants (952 patients with migraine and 8,013 healthy controls).
