Medication Overuse Prevalent Among US Migraine Patients

Key clinical point: Medication overuse is prevalent among U.S. migraine patients and significantly links with impaired function and disability.

Major finding: Medication overuse occurred in 18% of surveyed U.S. residents who met the study’s definition of having migraine.

Study details: Analysis of survey results from the CaMEO study, with 16,789 U.S. residents identified with migraine.
